Cleanse your Body and Feed your Soul!

I started a strict cleanse in October...almost 6 months ago! My goal was to clean out my body and start over. I am following a protocol that resonated with me the minute I opened the book. I start with a small base of foods that my body reacts positively to and then test one new food at a time! Now you know why it is 5 months and I am still going! It takes a long time to figure out what foods react well with your body chemistry when you are only testing one at a time.

The experience has been amazing. Eye opening to say the least! I feel lighter in every sense of the word. In fact, I started this cleanse for my body to clean out, but have figured out along the way that what I am really doing is making room to feed my soul!

I have had to slow WAY down and cook everything from scratch. You may think this is tedious or out of your comfort zone, but I can tell you that it is just what I needed.

I wash, cut, chop, prep, dice and cook almost everyday making food that I know will nourish and heal my body. Amazing! Most the time I turn off the tv and turn on the tunes. This makes the time I spend in my kitchen even more enjoyable.

I had NO idea how much both my body and soul needed this. My soul had been cluttered with old negative thoughts swirling around, and was guarding itself out of fear of the unknown for what was to come next. Cleaning up my diet has made room for the sunshine to flood my soul again. I have slowed down and taken time to be grateful, written in my journal and read inspiring thoughts almost everyday. In return I feel more creative and alive...ready to give the world all I have to offer.

Most people I tell about my cleansing process say "I could never do that!" I say...put yourself up to the challenge and try! It may just be the best thing that ever happened to you.
